Intermittent fasting diets have become known as an effective method for weight loss. It consists of ingesting food during a specific window of time. With the growth in the number of people following the diet in the world, some scientists began to study it. They found that in addition to helping you lose weight, fasting can help fight inflammation and reduce your risk of diabetes and heart disease.

Intermittent fasting impacts patients
Scientists conducted a three-month diet intervention on 36 people with the disease. After the period, they analyzed that most patients reduced their medication intake after fasting. Furthermore, 55% of these patients achieved remission of the diabetes, stopping your medication altogether.
However, studies have also revealed that remission of the condition can only be achieved in those who have had the disease for a shorter period of time. Something between 0 months to 6 years.
