The first semester of 2023 registered a record in the University for All Program (Prouni), with 574,548 candidates enrolled. Women constituted the majority of these subscribers, totaling 67%, while men represented 33% (189,480). The predominance of subscribers is up to 21 years old (430,646), which represents 74.91%.

With regard to age groups, 18.42% (105,835) of those enrolled are between 21 and 30 years old, followed by those aged 31 to 40 years (4.35%), 41 to 50 (1.72%) and the contingent over 50 years old, which totaled 3,203 registrations.
The Prouni 2023 of the first half surpassed the previous edition of the same period in 2022, which accounted for 544,755 registrations. Since the creation of the program in 2005, the number of scholarships offered is unprecedented, surpassing 290 thousand.
Region
Analyzing the data by region, the Northeast led in number of applicants, with 213,431 candidates (37.15% of the total), taking into account the place of residence. The Southeast ranked second, with 34% (195,447), followed by the South (11%) with 63,254, the North (10.33%) with 59,327 and the Midwest (7.5%) with 43,089 subscribers.
Prouni's calendar revealed the result of the second call on March 21, a date that also marked the beginning of the information verification period, which will end on March 30.
Students who were not included in either of the two calls can show interest in the waiting list between April 5th and 6th. The result of this list will be announced on April 10.
Higher education institutions must register the approval or disapproval of pre-selected candidates on the waiting list in the Prouni, as well as issuing the Scholarship Concession Term or Disapproval Term, from April 20 to May 2, as established in notice.
