What is Google Tables?
It was developed by Google Area 120, an area that serves as a project incubator for employees of the tech giant. The software can be described as a more “sophisticated” spreadsheet with more features such as automation based on artificial intelligence and visual aids.
The central idea is to be a “task organizer”, like Notion and Trello. The user will be able to create flowcharts and task lists with lots of details: categories, deadline, objective, last modification, location and tags.
There are also a multitude of options for viewing information and priorities.
The software also has more complex forms that automatically organize project information. All fields can be filled in automatically with Tables bots.
Other settings are:
- Relationships: relating one project to another;
- + Add Table: import data from another project or Google spreadsheet.
It will still be possible to share projects with other people, similar to how it is done by Docs, Drive and other company applications.
Where to use?
Tables can be used as a web application and can be accessed in browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Mozilla Firefox. In addition, it will have integration with Google's Workspace.
It's paid?
According to support, Tables will have a fully functional free version, however it will also have a paid version with more features. For example: while the free plan gives you access to 100 tables with 1,000 rows each, you get access to 1,000 tables with 10,000 rows each by paying US$10 (approximately R$51.85).
Paying this monthly fee, the user will also be able to use more automation functions and will have more space in the cloud. Want some good news? There is the possibility to test the paid functions for three months free!
Already in Brazil?
This is the bad news: Google Tables is not yet available in Brazil, however a beta version of the tool is already being implemented in the U.S. Let's wait for the news.
