One of the most used points for the “pokes” was the fact that Netflix is against sharing access. Unlike competitors, the company does not support sharing a login with more people.

In March 2021, Netflix launched a feature to curb this practice, including. A message appears on the screen of the person trying to access the platform through another user's account.

"If you don't live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to continue watching," the message reads. For now, this novelty is still being tested and there is still no confirmation about its officialization.

HBO Max posted the following message about Netflix's readjustments:

“Guys, do you pay streaming services by yourself? Don't share with anyone? Example: one pays Netflix and the other pays HBO Max, but they share the password for both to use”. Shortly after, she replied:

“It is not forbidden to share your account with your friends, family or acquaintances. That's why 'Multitelas' has 5 different profiles and the possibility of 3 streams simultaneously", said HBO Max.

Amazon Prime Video, on the other hand, pinned the competitor in the trending topics. Several times the words of welcome to “new subscribers” entered the top.

Netflix readjustment

Since 2019, Netflix tuition has not been readjusted. On the other hand, authorial productions and authorized reproductions increased in volume and quality. This is the company's justification for explaining the reason for the tariff increase.

In a note, Netflix says that “we will continue to offer the best content, between movies and series, in addition to a wide variety of genres […]. We offer several plans, starting at R$25.90 per month, so that people can choose a price that suits their needs”.

Despite the R$ 55.90 portion frightening subscribers, it will be the most expensive within the services. The basic plan will continue with a more affordable value, being the one with the lowest readjustment of all. The percentage increases vary between 18.2% and 21.7%.

Initially, the readjusted amounts will be charged to new subscribers. According to Netflix, those who already have a subscription will still pay the old prices.

For old users, an e-mail will be sent announcing the tariff readjustment. The notice will be issued gradually over the next 30 days. Therefore, customers can still redo the accounts and decide whether it is worth keeping the service or not.

It is worth noting that Netflix is still the largest subscription streaming service in the country. Brazilians have a special taste for the productions and products offered on the platform.
