We separate a list of some artists who left this world too soon and tragically.
Michael Hutchence
In November 1997, singer Michael Hutchence was found dead in a Sydney hotel room. The man had a belt around his neck. Some theories claim that his death was the result of suicide by hanging (asphyxiation), however there are controversies.
Kurt Cobain
In April 1994, Nirvana lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain was found dead in his Washington home. According to the investigation, the artist took his own life with a shotgun. Next to his body, a farewell letter to family, friends and his fans was found.
Chester Bennington
The Linkin Park singer suffered from depression and abused alcohol for years. In July 2016, he was found dead in his Los Angeles home. Chester would have taken suicidal. Beside him, bottles of alcoholic beverages were found, but no farewell letter in which he explained himself or anything like that.
Chris Cornell
Chris Cornell was the leader of three different bands. After a show in Detroit in May 2017, he was found unresponsive in the hotel room he was staying in. Soon after, investigations stated that Cornell also took his own life.
Ian Curtis
Ian Curtis was a famous singer and songwriter. On the morning of May 18, 1980, Ian took his own life in the kitchen of his home while listening to the song “The Idiot” by singer Iggy Pop.
Keith Emerson
Keith suffered from a neurological condition that made it impossible for him to play. Due to the illness, Keith developed depression, which led to his suicide. Keith took his own life at age 71, on March 11, 2016, indoors in Los Angeles.
