Check the new rules of the National Driver's License
In order to keep up with the needs of drivers, in addition to the system itself, traffic laws are always changing and adapting to the current reality. The expectation is to seek more agility and ensure safe travel for the population. So, see some CTB changes.
New point limit
Being one of the most commented points, the new tolerance for the suspension of the portfolio gained prominence. Therefore, now, for the driver to lose the documentation, he must have 40 points. However, this situation is not a fixed condition, that is, there are some cases that may change this rule.
Therefore, it was established that, with two or more very serious infractions, the driver loses the document with 20 points; with only one very serious infraction, it loses with 30 points; and with 40 points, if there is no serious infraction.
Increased validity of driving license
Another situation that is worth mentioning due to the changes in the rules is the validity of the card, which also underwent changes. Thus, all drivers under the age of 50 will now have a CNH valid for 10 years. Drivers aged 50 to 69 have a period of 5 years until the license expires, while seniors aged 70 and over must renew their CNH every three years.
Electronic Notification System
This new modality is an alternative available to citizens so that they can choose the way to receive their fine notifications. Thus, in addition to being able to consult all the details of a traffic violation, the driver will also be able to pay fines with a 40% discount, as long as they are within the period before the due date.
