About the FIAT Panda
The FIAT Panda is 100% electric and was inspired by the cars of the 80s, just as it inspired the creation of the Uno. This model is already foreseen and known by the interested public since 2020, although it has not yet been released.
The expectation is that the car will be available on the market in 2023. According to the manufacturer's CEO, Olivier François, FIAT intends to launch it at a lower price than the Fiat 500e.
It is worth mentioning that both the FIAT Panda and the FIAT 500e are the base models of the company's new phase, which emphasizes electric cars and, above all, affordable electrification. In addition, FIAT wants to launch the FIAT Panda at the most affordable price on the electric car market: for less than R$250,000.00.
The name “Panda” is still under review. FIAT's CEO is considering whether to create a new one or continue with the name in the same vein as the past, which is Punto, since these are names that please customers more and have famous templates.
Punto or Panda?
According to François' information, it is understood that the car will be compact (B segment) and that it will easily be recognized as a FIAT. FIAT has also announced a compact SUV, but not yet identified, which will be produced at the Tychy plant, in Poland, (the same that produces the 500 and Lancia Ypsilon models) from 2023, when the CEO also expects the arrival of the Panda to the Marketplace.
Features of the FIAT Panda
The FIAT Panda will only have one color available for sale, in order to reduce the car's production costs. However, the manufacturer is also betting on a customization program, in which the driver can put extra colors on the roof, bumpers and wheels.
Inside the car, the approach will be similar, but without the traditional navigation and entertainment system. Instead, the driver will be able to dock the smartphone or tablet in a specific place in the vehicle. Thus, the driver will not need to be "stuck" to the brand's system, and can then change it whenever he wants.
