- 1 lemon cut into two bands;
- 3 spoons of alcohol vinegar;
- 1 pack of sodium bicarbonate;
- 1 vegetable disinfectant.
Cleaning time!
To begin with, ideally, the strawberries should be placed in running water. So, remove them from the tray they came in and wash them in the sink. Because such a process will remove impurities and other major dirt, such as insects and soil from the surface of the fruit.
After this feat, separate the strawberries that look spoiled. Also, take the opportunity to check if they have dark, whitish spots or mold, which indicate the presence of fungi. Also, avoid consuming fruits that are not firm and are releasing a lot of liquid.
Then separate a container. So, to disinfect healthy strawberries, it is recommended to soak them in a solution that has a liter of water, a tablespoon of baking soda, lemon and alcohol vinegar.
After mixing, let the strawberries soak for about 15 minutes. After that time, wash them normally in running water.
Finally, pass cold running water or at room temperature on the strawberries, one by one. The use of hot water can spoil the food or reduce its preservation time. Also, don't forget to dry them well.
