After research on human fertility, a project was developed where the child would be developed in artificial wombs. But can this really be legalized? For now, this is a totally hypothetical scenario, but with the advancement of technology it is possible to happen, creating a new way of generating babies.

Discover now the project to form babies in artificial wombs
In 2017, a study was exposed, where scientists developed an artificial uterus to generate a lamb calf. Producer Hashem Al-Ghaili presented the “EctoLife Artificial Womb Facility” to a website, which consists of the first installation of artificial wombs in the world.
Hashem posted a video promoting this new technology. Despite being innovative, it can cause some complications, both during pregnancy and in moral, ethical and religious aspects.
In addition, this feature could accentuate inequalities and increase stereotypes of beauty standards, since it would be possible to choose the child's physical characteristics.
The objective of this project is to create ways for embryos (initially animals) to develop outside the mother's uterus, being considered an "in vitro" fertilization - collection of ova where fertilization occurs in laboratories.
The artificial uterus is a kind of incubator that promises to carry out the normal functions of a uterus, placenta and maternal organism. Thus, he ensures all the nutrients and stimuli that the fetus should receive through a robotic umbilical cord.
In addition to all the nutritional monitoring, the child still needs affection and warmth while he develops. For this reason, the researcher claims that, in the internal environment of each uterus, small speakers can provide calm, relaxing music and even the voice recording of family members.
According to Al-Ghaili, the reason for the growth of the study is that it is believed that "pregnancy is not fun", in addition to the fact that it discusses, according to him, an "unprecedented concept of fatherhood".
