How to preserve opened avocado?
The following tips are very simple and easy to put into practice. That way, you can choose the way that works best for you. The important thing is not to waste this food so potent for health.
1. Do not discard the pit
This tip is extremely simple and effective. Don't throw the avocado pit away, but keep it in the part you want to keep. This prevents the food from oxidizing and allows it to take longer to brown and spoil.
2. Lemon juice
Lemon is excellent for preventing the browning that occurs in avocado after being cut. For this reason, pass the lemon around the part you are going to keep, then wrap it in plastic film and take it to the fridge. Consume the avocado within two days after this process.
3. freeze the avocado
In that case you will also need to use a lemon. Basically, this tip includes two ways of preserving food: freezing and using lemon to avoid oxidation.
Therefore, take the part you want to keep, mash it with a fork or hit it in a blender with a little lemon. Soon after, put it in ice shapes and take it to the freezer. In this way, the fruit can be stored for up to a month.
