One long famous at the time it was released, in the late 90s, but which has lost strength over time is “Ecos do Além” (from English, Stir of Echoes), starring Kevin Bacon.

The production, which is prohibited for minors, is little publicized by the streaming, making it almost a “hidden” gem among the many launches and novelties offered by Netflix to users.

The plot of the North American feature premiered in 1999, being based on a book of the same name, written by Richard Matheson.

During its launch, despite not having been a great box office success, like others of the genre in the same year, for example, “The Blair Witch Project” and “The Sixth Sense”, “Echoes from Beyond” received positive reviews from the press specialized. The film has a 68% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Synopsis

The film tells the story of Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) who, despite ridiculing natural phenomena, allows his sister-in-law, Lisa (Ileana Douglas), to hypnotize him.

Upon awakening from the trance, Tom realizes he has a connection with his son Jake (Zachary David Cope), as well as having alarming hallucinations about a missing teenager named Samantha (Jennifer Morrison). Convinced of his visions, Tom sets out to find the girl whose life is in danger.
