WhatsApp update will change keyboard and communities
emoji keyboard
In the latest WhatsApp update, the emoji keyboard has undergone a significant overhaul, resulting in a more modern version.
While not gaining new features, the new keyboard has relocated familiar buttons and tabs to improve the user experience.
Now, sticker categories are located at the bottom, while shortcuts for changing the format (emojis, GIFs and stickers) are grouped at the top in a pill-shaped section.
This reorganization is intended to make it easier to access and select different types of visuals during in-app conversations.
Even if it is a simple change in the platform, which may be imperceptible for some users, this update aims to make the browsing experience in the app even more Modern.
Communities
A new option has been added in WhatsApp Community Settings allowing admins to decide whether members are allowed to add other groups to the community.
This option offers two choices: “Everyone”, where any member can add groups to the community, and “Community admins only”, whose permission is restricted to admins.
By default, the setting is set to more restrictive, limiting group additions to administrators only.
However, if needed, admins can override this preference in Settings, opening up more access for members to add other groups to their community.
