It is estimated that this year, the Revenue will receive around 39 million declarations until May, with 25% of the documentation pre-filled. Priorities for receiving remain the same: seniors aged 80 years or older, disabled, teaching and seniors from 60 years old.

Refunds will begin on May 31st and run through September 29th.

New in the income tax return

Taxpayers who submit the pre-filled model or who choose to receive the refund through the Pix key will also be entered as a priority in payment.

The only rule for registering Pix requires that the transfer key be the taxpayer's CPF, no other information will be needed besides this. This is a decision by the Revenue so that there are no errors in the declaration.

Understand the pre-populated statement

The pre-filled statement will be different this year. Exclusively for Gov.br gold or silver accounts, taxpayers can fill in the available information.

These are data based on the declaration of the previous base year and the Federal Revenue is responsible for checking the pre-completion contributions.

Responsible for the 2023 Income Tax program and tax auditor, José Carlos da Fonseca stated that the measure will serve to reduce errors when declaring, which made the process a little complicated.

Completing the data and delivering the documentation must be attached to the My Income Tax directly through the official website of the Federal Revenue Service.

Income Tax Declaration: who needs to declare it?

Taxpayers who had income in 2022 greater than R$ 28,559.70 are required to declare. A fine will be applied for those who do not present the documentation within the stipulated period, with a fine of 20% of the total amount, keeping the minimum amount at R$ 165.74.
