Meaning of Potter (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Among the objects produced by the potters, vases, tiles, crockery, bricks and etc. stand out.

In the Christian Bible the parable of the "Potter and Vase":

"This is the word that came from the Lord to Jeremiah: 'Go to the potter's house, and there you will hear my message'. So I went to the potter's house, and saw him working with the wheel. But the earthen vessel which he was forming was spoiled in his hands; and he remade it, molding another vessel according to his will. Then the Lord spoke to me: ‘O community of Israel, may I not act with you as the potter did?’ the Lord asks. ‘As clay in the potter's hands, so are you in my hands, O community of Israel’" (Jeremiah 18:1-6).

In this parable, according to the interpretation of the Christians, the potter would be the figure of God himself, endowed with mercy and patience and responsible for, little by little, molding people's imperfections.
