Investment in electric cars is on the rise in large companies

One of the biggest soft drink companies, Coca-Cola, has announced its new Renault battery powered vehicles. This happened even before the release of Pepsi's car, the Tesla Semi.

The Pepsi company had already scheduled the start of operations for December 1st.

Vehicle manufacturers had already exchanged comments on the releases. Pepsi is in the process of being assembled at the station at Megacharger. Coca-Cola started its production in Belgium. That kickstarted both companies into the EV truck market.

This attempt had already been announced in 2017 by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, but it was unsuccessful. Everything indicates that this one will be different, as he intends to start producing 15 trucks for a customer in early December.

Comparison between vehicles

Compared to Tesla's vehicles, Coca-Cola's will have less range as they are E-Tech D et D Wide models.

Renault will put the electrical system on last mile deliveries. The car's design and details were thought of in Coca-Cola's delivery logistics, that is, they provide safety and comfort for drivers.

The trucks are equipped with a 360-degree camera, which eliminates connection points, as well as a transparent door on the passenger side and a loudspeaker to alert pedestrians and cyclists.

According to Renault, with a single charge, the vehicle reaches 200 km. They can be recharged overnight using batteries that use green energy.

The company also announced foreign partnerships and stated that the new truck will be a great competitor for the Tesla Semi.
