In bracket 2, for example, the income limit was increased to R$4,400. Already in range 3, for the value of R$ 8 thousand. This means that more families will be able to benefit according to the readjustment of the minimum wage.
In an interview with the popular program A Voz do Brasil, Jader Filho, the Minister of Cities, pointed out that this change will allow the expansion of the benefit to a much broader number of families.
In addition, the properties that received the financing must be located on land close to urban centers. This determination is so that residents can guarantee access to important services such as a health center and also a school.
According to the Minister of Cities, the target of 2 million homes will be distributed based on the housing deficit in each region and state. That is, the program will meet the specific needs of each location and help solve the problem of homelessness in the country.
With these changes, Minha Casa, Minha Vida becomes even more inclusive and accessible to Brazilian families.
Expansion of subsidies
The government has significantly increased the subsidy limits that will guarantee housing under the program.
This means you can earn financial help to conquer your home. The subsidy works as a part of the financing, which is paid by the government with Union resources and funds.
Housing units in locations that work with Social Leasing and Social Development funds can receive up to R$170,000 in subsidy.
In rural areas, housing units can receive up to R$75,000 in subsidy, also operating with Union resources.
To understand more, if a person already has a house in a rural area, he can receive up to R$40,000 in subsidy to make improvements to it, also with Union resources.
It was also considered that if the person installs a solar energy system or renovates the property for housing purposes, the subsidy ceiling may increase even more.
Return of works
Approximately 12,000 construction works on houses have been resumed and around 9,000 families will be able to receive their homes by the end of April. The reactivated works had already been stopped for more than 10 years.
So far, 6,000 families have already received their homes. This action had an immediate result for people who are renting, homeless or in risk areas.
According to the Minister, these families need a quick solution and the latest works are changing their lives. “We are happy to see the progress and hope that many other families can benefit soon”, concluded the Minister of Cities, Jader Filho.
