Changes made by the INSS to prove proof of life

The main objective of the changes is to prevent fraud from occurring with the Institute. It was therefore decided that, from 2023, the proof of life will be done automatically. For this, the INSS will cross data from the government bank, joining federal, state and municipal public information.
This data will be collected, for example, from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and also from many other bodies. Voting for the last elections will also serve as evidence for the INSS.
Until the end of this year, proof of life will be suspended, so people who have not yet undergone the procedure will not have the benefit suspended. That said, the application will be the way many will be able to use it to prove their lives. It will be enough to carry out facial recognition through the cell phone camera.
From next year, only the INSS will be responsible for providing proof of life, that is, it will seek these confirmations. They will be done through the issuance of passports, voting slips, identity cards and other services.
If there is any type of divergent information, the INSS must inform the beneficiary about the possible blocking his salary so that he can then attend a service unit and prove life in person.
