How does iFood invest in teaching couriers?

Recently, through a program called “Meu Diploma do Ensino Médio”, iFood opened vacancies for more than 700 scholarships for the application's collaborators. Through them, the company aims to help couriers who did not finish elementary or high school. In this way, they can prepare for the National Examination for the Certification of Youth and Adult Skills (ENCCEJA).

How are scholarships offered?

With registration until May 6, scholarships are offered through a partnership with the Descomplica study platform. To apply, couriers must be over 18 and have incomplete regular education. In addition, there are quotas and incentives for self-declared black or brown people, as well as women and delivery workers who use bicycles as their main work tool.

Thus, interested parties who meet the requirements must register on the website “Meu Diploma do Ensino Médio”, where will have to fill in the necessary data, such as telephone number, residential address, e-mail and identity. After completing the information, the selected candidates will be called by email and WhatsApp.

What is the aim of the classes?

According to iFood, the objective of the initiative is to expand Brazilians' access to education through the internet. For this reason, with the partnership with Descomplica, they should directly impact a large number of people, especially those with a certain social vulnerability.

Thus, classes appear as an excellent option for those workers who seek to resume their studies. In addition, it is a great opportunity for couriers who intend to re-enter the job market, especially in activities that require a high school diploma.

Where to attend classes?

For those who are in the rush of everyday life, classes will be 100% online, and can be attended at any time and place. According to iFood, those students who reach the goal of 2.5 hours of daily study during the three months of preparation will be able to get a good base of content to do well in ENCCEJA 2022.
