WhatsApp is working to improve the ability to send polls in groups to promote more interaction between its users. The resource allows you to send a poll containing up to five options, thinking about the ease of joint decision-making or questionnaires with participants. See more about this new WhatsApp feature.

Purpose of polls on WhatsApp
The goal is to launch a question and get people to vote for the answer they want. The site emphasizes that since the messages are end-to-end encrypted, only those who belong to the group can access the poll results. It is not clear how many questions or how many answers the survey may have, or even if it is possible to use images.
Similarity between other social networks
Unlike public polls posted on social networks like Twitter and Instagram, participation in WhatsApp polls is limited to group members who posted the question.
In microblogging, questions are open to the public on a timeline for a specific period. In the photo and video app, polls with up to four alternatives can be created, and the questions only appear in the user's Story for 24 hours.
In that sense, WhatsApp is most likely to function similarly to its competitor, Telegram. In this app, it is possible to add up to 10 answer options, and the votes are not identified. Users can end voting at any time by holding their finger on the content and clicking on “Stop Voting”.
Secret answers for unauthorized people
As with all exchanges of information on WhatsApp, options and responses will be end-to-end encrypted, thus preventing unauthorized persons from viewing the content. This is yet another tool that allows for easy interaction on a daily basis. The function was seen on the iPhone, but soon it should also be available for Android.
