When the vehicle is already equipped with the daytime running light (DRL), the use of the headlight will be more demanding on highways or on duplicate lanes.
Other changes to the CTB
- The validity of the CNH has changed, now the national driver's license will be valid for 3 years for drivers from 70 years, for drivers under 50, it will be valid for 10 years and for those aged 50 to 69, it will be valid for 5 years.
- CNH Suspension: 20 points in case of two very serious cases; or 40 points for those who perform paid work; 30 points in the period of 1 year, with a very serious infraction; 40 points reached in the period of 1 year, without any serious infraction.
- If the inspection agent is able to consult the system, if the driver is qualified, he may waive the carrying of the driver's license. And the driver will now be able to present the digital CNH.
- Children up to 10 years old who are not 1.45 m tall must be kept in the seats during transport rear seats and age-appropriate restraint devices, such as car seats, for example.
- There was an increase in the minimum age for transporting children on motorcycles, with a ban on children under 10 years old or those who are unable to take care of their own safety during transportation.

- Fine for those consultants who park their vehicles in cycle lanes and cycle paths. It is classified as a serious infraction that will have a fine of R$ 195.23, in addition to the 5 points on the license.
- The speed reduction infraction when passing cyclists is now no longer “only serious”, it is now a very serious infraction.
- The infraction applied to cargo transportation was made more flexible. Now it will only act when it is found that the vehicle has exceeded the limit in weighing. As defined by the National Traffic Council (Contran), the manufacturer must show, in a visible place on the vehicle's structure and on Renavam, the technical weight limit per axle.
