lemon mousse recipe

Ingredients

In this recipe, we will use enough ingredients to yield ten servings. However, if you need more, just increase these measures proportionately. As we are going to use one unit of each of them, just add one more if you want to double the amount, right? Now, on to what you will need:

  • 1 can (390 ml) of condensed milk;
  • 1 can (300 ml) of whey-free cream;
  • Concentrated juice of 1 lemon (just squeeze);
  • 1 unflavored gelatin.

Remembering that unflavored gelatin is optional, so you can make it with just the first three ingredients. Also, it's worth trying to separate some lemon zest to decorate your mousse. You can even use the lemon itself from which you will extract the juice and avoid waste.

Method of preparation

To start, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in water according to the manufacturer's instructions and set aside. Now, take the first three ingredients to the blender and beat for at least 3 minutes.

But be careful, because you will have to add the unflavored gelatin while the mixture hits the blender. So, finally, just pour the whole mixture into a platter where you can spread it well and take it to the fridge for at least 3 hours, or until firm.

It will not be necessary to put it in the freezer, as there is a risk that your mousse will turn into lemon sorbet, although it will also be delicious. To decorate, use our lemon zest tip! Another option is to use mint leaves to decorate the dish and also to increase the taste. Thus, your recipe will be much more delicious and refreshing.
