There is a study based on the “forgetting curve”. This is the visual representation of how much we forget during a lifetime, counting our aging together. If we don't try to reverse this process, forgetting can be immense. Therefore, it is vital to test and exercise your brain whenever possible. In this logic, we have selected for you memory games to strengthen your brain. They will help you improve your brain activities with simple exercises.

How to strengthen the brain and improve memory?
- use flashcards
A great exercise for anyone learning something new is to make use of flashcards. They are a great tool for “spaced recall”, meaning by creating the cards you are learning, and by using the intervals you are testing yourself.
It is also possible to use the flashcards as a memory game. On one of the cards, you need to write a description of the problem/disease/cause. In the other, the name of this problem/disease/cause will be written. So, after shuffling, you need to find them and associate the two.
- Build a “mind palace”
The first time this technique was mentioned was 80 years BC. To this day, it is a technique often used by competitive memory athletes. In this mental game, you put what you want to remember along a “journey”. Many people use this space as a place they know very well, like the home they grew up in as children.
Then, you need to place the objects in these places and make their association. That way, when you go through each room, you remember what object was there. So this ends up becoming a game of memory and association.
- Reframe your memory
This may be one of the most valid pieces of advice of all: the brain responds to stimuli. If you are used to saying “my brain is very bad, it always forgets everything”, this is precisely how your brain will start to function more and more. Therefore, always repeat to yourself “I have a great memory”; “It's okay, I'll remember next time”, and with these phrases, slowly reshape your brain.
