The Chestnut Man
A serial killer is terrorizing Copenhagen. Next to his victims, he leaves a doll made with chestnuts. When a forensic expert examines the doll, he finds fingerprints of the daughter of the Prime Minister of Denmark. The girl had been kidnapped and killed the previous year.
The work was based on the novel written by Søren Sveistrup. He is the same creator of another story that inspired The Killing series – Beyond a Crime. The latter, by the way, can also be watched on the streaming platform Netflix
Plot
It all starts with the brutal murder of a young girl. She is found dead in a park and is missing one of her hands. The case will be investigated by Naia Thulin (Danica Curcic) and her new partner, Mark Hess (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard).
The chestnut puppet is analyzed, as shown above. When finding the fingerprints of the child, the daughter of the Prime Minister of Denmark, the story gains complexity.
There are still few criticisms made by the public. However, it is possible to perceive a satisfactory degree of acceptance by those who attended. The story full of mystery and suspense seems to please Netflix subscribers.
