It remains to be seen how EA will limit theplayersfree or how it will offer payment plans, but it is possible that it will follow similar models to other popular games, such as “Fortnite”, “Rocket League”, “Valorant” and “League of Legends”, which offer in-game purchase options for items such as characters, accessories and artifacts.

However, fans will have to be patient as The Sims 5 will still take some time to release. The most EA has revealed is that the game is "years away" from its release.
The studio responsible for in-house production, Maxis, is sharing updates early to get the community involved in the development, even if just as spectators.
This unique and unprecedented approach seeks to further strengthen the community, something that has always been a hallmark of The Sims world. However, we shouldn't expect to find the game on shelves for years to come.
