Follow this step by step

When trying to log in to any of Google's platforms, below the password entry box, there is a “Forgot password?” link. Click on it and you will be taken to a menu.

Soon, you will have several options to recover your password, such as sending a verification code to an alternative email or an SMS to the phone number registered in your account. If you do not have an alternative email, and choose the cell phone option, be aware that the process may take a little longer.

This is because, after clicking “Yes” in the pop up sent to the device, to avoid scams, Google will carry out a long analysis, which may take a few days. When this process comes to an end, you will receive the link to update your password in the new registered email.

How to recover a password with an alternative email already registered?

Fortunately, for those who already have an alternative email registered, recovering the password can be a little easier. In this case, just choose the option to recover the password through it in the menu and wait for a code in the inbox.

Then enter the code received in the alternative email. Ready! You will now be directed to another screen where you can choose your new password. A good tip is to choose a strong one, with capital letters, small letters and numbers. If you prefer, you can use extensions or applications that generate secure passwords and keep them safe.

With the password chosen and confirmed through Google's double confirmation, just click on the “Save Password” option. Finally, you will be able to use the company's services and platforms again.
