The Agency said it is finalizing a laboratory to study and solve the problem of pirated TV in Brazil.
“We are finalizing a laboratory within the agency to be able to block live content”, was what said the Anatel advisor, Moisés Moreira, at the Abrint 2023 National Meeting, held on the last 26th of May.
Also according to Moisés, the new laboratory should be ready by the month of November this year. That is, in less than 6 months, the actions will be in place.
What is IPTV used for pirated TV broadcasting?
The term “pirate TV” refers to the unauthorized and illegal use of IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) services.
In turn, IPTV is a technology that allows the transmission of TV programs and video content over the Internet, instead of using traditional methods such as satellite or cable transmission.
In the case of pirate TV, people illegally access channels, films, series and other copyrighted content without due payment or permission from the rights holders.
These pirate services usually offer a wide selection of channels and content at very low prices or even free.
illegal playlists
Pirate IPTV services work through playlists (playlists) that contain links to illegally available channels and content.
Users usually need to install a specific application or use an IPTV decoder to access these playlists.
However, it is important to point out that using pirated TV is illegal and violates copyright.
Furthermore, using these services carries risks, such as the possibility of infecting your device with malware or virus, having poor streaming quality and lack of technical support.
It is always recommended to use legal IPTV services, which are offered by licensed providers and respect copyrights.
That way, you'll be supporting the entertainment industry ethically and avoiding legal and security issues.
