'Unesp Book Fair' started this Wednesday, 12, in São Paulo

The fifth event of the Unesp Book Fair began this Wednesday, the 12th, in São Paulo. This year, the fair will run until April 16, in virtual and in-person models. The fair will feature books of various genres, from children's literature to academic books, and offers consumers a percentage discount.

In the face-to-face model, the books will have a minimum discount of 50% and, in the virtual model, the minimum discount will be 40%.

Unesp Book Fair in April

Despite being in the 5th edition of the event, this will be the first time in face-to-face format since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. The face-to-face event marks the importance of bringing the readership closer to access to the most cheaper and, to a greater extent, the online fair grants a much greater scope of the event for Brazil whole.

The face-to-face model will take place at Unesp's main campus, in São Paulo, while the virtual event will take place at

fair's official website. In addition to selling books, the publishers that support the event are also offering a program during the days of the fair.

Virtual programming and debates through YouTube

To the participants of the virtual model, rest assured, as the schedule will also extend to the online! Publishers will give lectures during all days of the event.

At the opening of the event, researchers Carlos Orsi and Natalia Pasternak presented the theme “challenges of science dissemination”. Starting on Wednesday, therefore, at 10 am, 12/04, the conference “Communication of Science and Combating Misinformation” will be broadcast on Editora Unesp's YouTube channel.
