First, it is important to make a distinction between remuneration and salary. The salary corresponds to the amount agreed between the employer and the employee, paid monthly due to the sale of the workforce. Compensation covers all installments that include commissions, various allowances and other types of additional benefits. That is, salary and remuneration are not the same thing.

Types of remuneration
