Cutting and peeling fruit may seem easy, but with mangoes it tends to result in waste and lots of mess. After all, the thinner the skin of the fruit, the more challenging the peeling process. In fact, some fruits shouldn't be peeled at all! However, it is not the case of mango, and this task is not always easy, but here we will explain it to you two ways to cut and peel the mango.

Cut a mango like an avocado
The technique is similar to how we open an avocado, but instead of cutting from one end to the other, the cut is made at the “waist” of the mango. Check below:
- First, wash the mango well and take a knife to cut it in half along the circumference, horizontally;
- Then, you will rotate the sleeve sideways (back and forth) until one of the parts comes loose and disengages;
- When the two sides are separated, remove the core also with your hands and turning (or the way you find it easier);
- Now, take a spoon to peel, scrape all the mango pulp and consume it any way you want!
Peel the mango with a glass of water
This technique is quite simple. You need a medium sleeve (or the size of your glass) and a glass that is very resistant so as not to risk breaking. So, now see how to perform this technique:
- First, cut the mango in half with a sharp knife, avoiding the pit;
- Then take half of the fruit and place it on the side of the glass with the skin facing out;
- Align the skin with the glass and carefully slide the fruit into it, making the pulp separate from the skin;
- Finally, discard the peel, remove the fruit from the glass and cut the mango as you wish.
