As seen in the screenshot, users will have the opportunity to set the quality of the videos. There are two options: the first is standard resolution and the other is HD. It is worth noting that the video itself must be of sufficient quality for the option to appear.
Beforehand, as shown in the print description, media with standard quality use less space storage and are faster to ship. In the photo, we notice the use of 12 MB in the HD version and 6.3 MB for the standard quality.
In addition, visually speaking, the contents chosen in the best definition format will be marked in the conversation with a label in the message bubble. As a result, users who receive the contents will be aware that the file is heavier and will consume more storage space.
As the original post points out, the feature maintains the dimensions of the video, but light compression is still applied. In other words, you might not be able to share videos in their original quality, but the final quality will be better with the feature.
