Over 100,000 Hacked ChatGPT Accounts Are Being Sold On The Dark Web

Last year, Singapore-based threat intelligence group Group-IB uncovered more than 100,000 records of deals traded on the dark web containing ChatGPT credentials.

According to threat security firm Group-IB, experts point out that a growing number of employees are using the ChatGPT to improve your productivity in software development and business communications.

According to Dmitry Shestakov, Head of Threat Intelligence at Group-IB, ChatGPT automatically stores users' query history and AI-generated responses.

Shestakov also assured that many companies are incorporating Artificial Intelligence into their operations, allowing employees to successfully match or use bot to optimize code owner.

According to Group-IB, both Apple and Samsung have banned the use of ChatGPT in their companies due to security concerns.

Specifically in the case of Samsung, there were reports of employees accidentally leaking information. These security issues are most common in the Asia-Pacific region, which accounted for over 40% of ChatGPT accounts stolen during the period analyzed by Group-IB.

India was the country most affected by the data breach, recording the highest number of compromised accounts (12,632).

This situation reflects previous findings that indicate that the Indian subcontinent is a target frequent site for data theft, due to its population size and heavy use of Internet technology. information.
