Since last Tuesday, the “Colegio del Año en Español” contest has been open to reward Brazilian schools that have the Spanish language as an integral part of the students' school curriculum. The award is aimed at students from the 6th to 9th grade of Elementary School II, as well as for High School.
This contest is held in partnership between the Miguel de Cervantes School in São Paulo and the Education Department of the Spanish Embassy in the country. However, the contest is not just limited to schools, language centers can also participate.

How to Participate in the Concurso Colegio del Año in Español
There will be three categories for participation: Elementary School II, High School and Language Centers. Among the prizes, winners will receive all-expenses-paid scholarships for courses at Spanish universities.
In addition, training scholarships will also be offered in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for teachers from the winning schools. Finally, schools will also receive teaching materials in Spanish to be used as a teaching-learning resource.
Finally, whoever wins the contest will also have a unique experience, focused on the best known sport in the country: football! Participants will receive a series of gifts offered by LaLiga, the first division of the Spanish professional football league.
How to apply?

In the first phase, the commission will evaluate the presentations and select the finalists. Subsequently, the finalists will be called for an interview, which may be in person or via video call, to discuss more about why they should win the contest.
The finalists will be announced in the second half of September and the final result, with the winning institution, only in the second half of October.
