history of avocado
The avocado is a plant native to Central America, between Peru and Mexico. Over time, it expanded to countries in America, such as Colombia, Bolivia, Venezuela and Ecuador.
It emerged in Brazilian lands around 1809, in Rio de Janeiro, and went on to conquer the whole country. Today, Brazil is the fourth largest avocado producer in the world.
This fruit is present in the cuisine of several countries and makes up dishes of various flavors, sweet and savory. It is rich in fiber, vitamins, calcium and iron. In addition, it is indicated for the diet of everyone who wants muscle growth. Thus, an avocado smoothie with milk, in the morning, can bring great benefits to athletes.
How to plant an avocado plant?
To plant a good avocado tree, the first step is to look for an organic fruit. Generally, those sold by small farmers in street markets are the best for consumption and for using their seeds.
After using the avocado, reserve the seed. Take a glass of water, stick three toothpicks in the seed and place it inside the glass, near a place with natural light. Change the water every two days so as not to accumulate dirt. Within two to three weeks it will be possible to see the sprouts being born. After a couple of months, they will already be between 10 and 20 cm in size, and this is the ideal time to plant them in the pot.
You can plant your seedling in the vase, in the backyard, in the neighboring land or wherever you prefer. Finally, look for a good place to monitor the growth of this beautiful plant.
