Volkswagen has adopted a similar strategy, removing the prices from its website and saying that all dealerships are ready to apply the already reduced prices. In addition, the automaker will offer bonuses of up to R$5,000 or zero fee to customers.
Hyundai was not left out and reduced the price of the HB20 1.0 Sense from R$ 82,290 to R$ 74,290, providing an attractive promotion to buyers.
Government measures boosted the auto industry
Initially, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Services reported that the reduction in final car prices would be between 1.5% and 10.96%. However, after negotiations with the Ministry of Finance, the program was redesigned and a new model was adopted, replacing the direct exemption of tributes.
In any case, consumers will be able to take advantage of discounts ranging from R$2,000 to R$8,000 on the purchase price of automobiles. The government's incentive represents a reduction of 1.6% to 11.6% in current values.
It is important to emphasize that the benefits will be granted up to the limits established by the government: R$ 500 million for cars, R$ 300 million for buses and R$ 700 million for trucks. Thus, when these amounts are reached, even before the four-month deadline, the incentive will be terminated.
These measures bring good prospects for consumers, especially for those who wish to purchase more affordable models, which can receive more significant discounts.
While the cheapest cars can have discounts of up to BRL 8,000 (11.6%), more expensive models, such as those that cost BRL 120,000, can have a smaller benefit, of BRL 2,000 (1.6%).
