Thin brow fashion returns
A number of questionable fashion trends from the 1990s have been revived in recent years, and Gen X has had to witness them all, questioning some. An example of criticism, which they considered a comeback, was the return of the trend of having thin eyebrows.
The new generation Z and famous young millennials, like Bella Hadid, and Dove Cameron, both 26 years old, seem happier than ever with this return. In recent months, some famous people have completely erased their eyebrows.
The hashtag #ThinEyebrows currently has 236.5 million views on the video app TikTok, but Older millennials and Gen Xers are warning the younger generation that they will end up regretting joining in this fashion.
A mistake from the past
Many of the people who lived this thin brow trend in the 90's now need to draw their brows every day for the rest of their lives. So stay tuned if you really want to do this to yourself.
But younger generations seem bent on repeating past mistakes. The #ThinEyebrowChallenge took over TikTok last month, with a filter allowing users to preview what it would look like having the thinnest brows and it turned out to be so attractive to some that they actually picked up the tweezers to tune them.
The trends that returned
The period of the 1990s is remembered for its exuberance and exaggeration, especially when it comes to fashion. The success of this sector was so great that several items from the time are still sold today and with success. Check out some of the trends that returned to this generation below.
- Several pieces with jeans: Mom jeans, those high-waisted, straight-cut pants, and denim shorts are some of the examples of this trend.
- Transparency: The big change now is perhaps the detachment of many rules that were created for these looks.
- square shoes: Minimalist and elegant, these models have conquered the hearts of women, as they fit well, bring a lot of style to the look and are beautiful!
