There are some homemade fertilizer options that you can make without spending a lot! We selected 3 of them for you to test on your flower:

Ashes, bone meal and castor bean pie

Yes, it seems like a very different combination. But at the same time, know: it is very effective!

The mixture of these components will provide your orchid with lots of calcium, nitrogen and phosphorus! And it helps to form roots, leaves and buds.

For the mixture you need:

  • 300g of castor bean cake;
  • 100g of bone meal;
  • 100g of ash.

Just mix all the ingredients and apply it to your orchid every 4 months.

manure syrup

Another very easy and simple option to make is homemade liquid fertilizer! Made with cattle or chicken manure diluted in water, this mixture will guarantee your orchids a healthy growth, so that they are full of flowers!

The proportions are 1 kg of manure for 20 L of water. Store for about a week, stirring the syrup daily, and then apply it to your orchids.

bokashi

A mixture of solid homemade fertilizer, it has some ingredients we have in our kitchen! It is a great fertilizer for your orchid. To get started, you will need:

  • 1 kg of rice bran;
  • 1 kg of rice husk;
  • 1 kg of soy bran;
  • 1 kg of carbonized rice husk;
  • 2 kg of brown sugar;
  • 20g of phosphate;
  • 1 bottle of fermented milk;
  • 1 teaspoon of traditional Bokashi.

After gathering all the ingredients, you need to leave them for 30 days to ferment. After that time, apply it to your orchid every 2 months.
