Democracy
The so famous democracy is a model of governance in which the population makes the decisions regarding the destiny of the country. This model can be either direct democracy, through the action of the population in important decisions, or representative democracy. In this second case, the population chooses who will make the decisions, as in Brazil.
Dictatorship
Dictatorship, on the other hand, can be the opposite of democracy, since here a group of people or a model of government prevails over the others. Thus, the population will not have time to make decisions, but will have to receive what was ordered and obey the violent threat.
Legislation
In the case of the legislation of a country, this will represent the set of laws that are in force. For example, here in Brazil we have the Federal Constitution as the main representative of the legislation. Furthermore, members of the political community will help to make laws in the interests of the people.
Budget
Finally, we have a concept that is much more related to the economic sector of politics. Thus, the budget of a country or state is how much it can spend on bills, infrastructure and social benefits. These expenses may be higher or lower depending on the political profile of each government.
