The project foresees the development of eVTOLs (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing), that is, Electric Aircraft for Vertical Takeoff and Landing.

The company informed that the initial proposal of the ongoing project is to make short trips with the flying car to Rio de Janeiro.

But, the expansion will carry out operations throughout Brazil, serving São Paulo, Goiânia, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Florianópolis, Camboriú (SC), Fortaleza, Natal, Salvador and Recife.

O promising project promises agility

and use of clean energy. The company already has an ideal model for transporting up to five people.

Despite the advances, Eve may still face legislation issues that are not suitable for flying car traffic.

For this reason, Embraer said in a statement that “governments, industry and communities need to start planning annually starting today so that the benefits are fully acquired”.

In the meantime of adaptation, the product of eVTOLs from Embraer already has more than 2,800 purchase intentions around the world.

What will the flying car look like in Brazil?

Flying cars will work like the racing apps we already know. They will have a price list according to the route. As mentioned earlier, the capacity is up to five people and the vehicle is equipped with eight propellers.

In addition, the service differentials will be agility, with journeys of up to 48 km being carried out in less than 20 minutes.

Popularly called “cars”, the vehicles that will be developed are, in fact, more like helicopters that run on electricity.

Due to this energy source, it is estimated that the costs to use the flying vehicle will be up to six times lower than the current expenses to circulate in a conventional helicopter.

New models with capacity for six people are already in development, but have not yet been announced by Eve.

For the time being, the flying car is still under development and under negotiation with companies and governments interested in making technology available to the population until 2026.
