New feature allows for more interactivity
According to WABetaInfo, a reliable source of information about app updates, it is now possible to reply to channel messages with emojis. This new feature will allow users to interact in a limited way, as they already do in individual and group conversations.

For channel creators, this change offers three configuration options to choose how your followers can use the feature.
It is possible to disable all reactions, allow them with the use of specific emojis or even restrict responses to the six default emojis, keeping the flow of the conversation polite and uncomplicated.
The implementation of this tool is in beta phase, and interested users must be participating in the Beta Program of Google Playto test it.
WhatsApp is seeking to increase the number of beta testers for the message reply function for community ad groups, which is already in extensive use.
With this functionality, users can quickly respond to messages posted to community ad groups.
Update still in testing phase
For now, the channels feature of the Whatsappit is only available to a limited number of people. However, the company does offer an opt-in option that notifies users the moment channels are activated in their accounts.
