In a survey carried out in 2015 by the British electronics manufacturer Alba, the songs that provide the most positive feeling and well-being.

The general expectation could point to well-known hits, such as “Happy”, by Pharrell Williams, “Shake it Off”, by Taylor Swift, or “Love on Top”, by Beyoncé, as the main choices. However, the results surprised everyone by revealing that none of these songs made it to the top of the list.

The research sought to identify the music that most brought a sense of joy and well-being to listeners, and the results ended up showing asongless known, but which, somehow, resonated more intensely in people's feelings.

This finding illustrates how the subjective perception of music can vary widely from person to person and how some less popular songs can touch the hearts of a certain group of people more deeply listeners.

In the survey conducted by British electronics manufacturer Alba in 2015, around 2,000 UK adults took part to reveal their favorite songs that made them feel good.

Surprisingly, the choices did not focus on the latest and most popular songs, but rather on old-school classics, which evoke nostalgic memories and feelings of joy.

Some of the songs that stood out among the contestants' favorites included ABBA's “Dancing Queen,” an upbeat choice that's always a hit at wedding parties; “Good Vibrations”, by the Beach Boys, ideal for a fun picnic on the beach, but none of these took the main post.

Queen took the top spot

In Alba's poll, Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" won first place as the most "feel good" song among respondents.

That song, released in 1979, continues to be appreciated and loved even by younger generations who are perhaps not as familiar with the band Queen or their iconic lead singer Freddie Mercury.

While many may not know Queen's history, it's almost certain that they've heard some of their music on numerous occasions. “We Are the Champions” and “Another One Bites the Dust” are frequently played at major sporting events, raising the energy of the audience.
