Recovery. And now?

Today, children and teenagers get involved with several options of attractions and end up forgetting about their school obligations. When school obligations are not fulfilled, the student compromises his learning, failing to reach a legal average to pass the year. For many, recovery is punishment from a teacher and a way to keep them in school, but actually recovery is a chance to clarify doubts with the teacher, to learn what was missed and to have a new assessment in order to pass the year. It is a time of specific study to study only the subjects that were difficult to understand.

There are two recovery methods:

Ongoing Recovery: It is carried out during classes by teaching guidelines and various activities adapted to the difficulty of each student. It is also done through extra classes for students who have a more accentuated difficulty and who require more contact with the subject.

Parallel Recovery: It is carried out at the end of each semester where the student receives a study plan with the report card to be carried out in July and then in December with an annual study plan. After the end of these classes, the student will take a test regarding the content given in the specific study plan and will be approved if he manages to achieve the required grade.

As bad as it sounds, recovery is an excellent chance for those who struggled during the school year to understand certain topics in different subjects. It's a way to work hard and take advantage of lost time throughout the year. For those who stayed for recovery, the best thing to do is to study and guarantee the next year in another grade with other subjects, other teachers, other students, maybe another school... Some tips for memorizing and learning more:

- Be relaxed to start your studies, because if you are anxious you will not be able to learn;
- Mark the words you deem important in the text;
- Every six minutes get up and talk to someone or have a glass of water to relax and not overload your brain;
- Don't worry about memorizing, just read and circle important words;
- Stop every half hour and relax;
- Go back to your studies by reading the circled words;
- Make a kind of map and paste it on the table or wall;
- Always go through the map and take a look;
- Study for only two hours, because the overloaded brain doesn't work so well;
- If you need to study for more than two hours, stop for 15 minutes and have a juice, talk and relax.
