What is an injunction?

Injunction is the act of injure, that is, of instruct, order, in establish laws, rules, for some action, custom or circumstance to happen. THE injunction it is quite common in the daily lives of most people, as we can find it in some situations during the oral verbal interaction – when we receive or give orders to someone – and/or verbal written - from injunctive texts, such as instruction manuals, cooking recipes, some electoral and advertising campaigns, booklets with game instructions and rules, medicine inserts, self-help book, air and road travel instruction booklets etc.

Injunctive texts

O injunctive text is a type of text, as well as others that exist and are organized in different ways, such as the text narrative, O essay, O descriptive, Oprescriptive it's the explanatory.

In general, the injunctive texts have the purpose of instructing readers to carry out some activity, such as install electronic equipment, build a wardrobe, make a cooking recipe etc.. Generally speaking, as the injunctive text

is developed from verbs in mode imperative (Ex.: Plug it in the blue cable to the TV.) or infinitive (Ex.: To connect the blue cable to the TV), we can say that the language function on one injunctive text and the conative/appellative. Also regarding the language of injunctive texts, this must be clear, objective and didactic so that you can reach the objective of promoting the perfect execution of the task/activity to be performed.

Generally, the message is structured in two parts, the first being for the enumeration of elements/materials and the second for the explanation of how to carry out the task/activity.
