Straight lines are part of geometry studies and are straight lines that have an origin point.
This point indicates their beginning, however they do not have an end, that is, they are infinite.
When represented, the semi-straight lines are indicated by an arrow on one side, which demonstrates the direction that has no end.
In the example below, we have the ray of origin A that passes through point B.
Lines, Semi-Lines and Line Segment
It is very common to confuse the concept of straight lines, semi-straight lines and straight lines. Check out the differences between them below:
straight: infinite lines devoid of curves. They have no beginning and no end. They are indicated by lowercase letters.
Line Segment: is a part of the line, marked by two points. Points that are part of the line are always indicated by capital letters.
semi-rectal: is a straight line that has a beginning (marked by a point) but has no end. In other words, it is a line that has only one direction and direction, starting from an origin point.

Fun Facts: Did You Know?
Under the new spelling agreement, the term semi-straight is written in one word. Before, it was separated by a hyphen: “semi-straight”.
