Determinant – What are the linguistic characteristics that demarcate it?

Maybe that little word – determinant – might seem a little strange, isn't it? But know that this is something that is already part of our knowledge, because through the meetings we've had, we were able to learn about various subjects related to our Portuguese language. well, what is itdeterminant?

This little word, especially when we are developing some studies about all those novelties that grammar reveals to us, it is quite present, but sometimes we don't give it the attention it deserves, so why not get to know it a little more than close?

For this to happen in the best possible way, we will first observe some statements:

THE girl is polite.

That one girl is polite.

Many girls are polite.

Two girls stand out in the classroom because they are very polite.

Remember the grammar classes? No? It's simple, access the text "Grammatical classes”. Thus, analyzing the terms that are highlighted according to the class to which belong, we have, respectively: definite article, demonstrative pronoun, indefinite pronoun and cardinal numeral.

Thus, we can say with certainty that they all modify the noun “girls”.

Based on the studies we have done, we conclude, therefore, that the determinant is represented by the well-known adjuncts, do you agree? Well, look what a great thing: you've just made yet another linguistic discovery, isn't that right?
