The use of the letters "g" and "j"

THE orthography  of words is a fact that causes us doubts. But it is something that is solved according to our constant search for the dictionary and our experience with regard to writing.
We will give full attention to the lyrics "g" and "j", because they, like many others, have some rules, which we will know:
why the noun "travel" differs from the verb “travel” in writing?
These and other cases will be analyzed below:
We use the letter "g":
• For nouns ending in -agem, -igem, -ugem:
mirage - courage - dam - rust - vertigo - soot - origin
• For words ending in: -agio, -egio, -igio, -ogio, -ugio
contagion - privilege - litigation - watch - refuge
We use the letter "j":
* In verb forms ending in -jar:
travel – arrange – dump

• In words of Tupi, African or Arabic origin:
boa – shaman – basil – Moji – hominy

• In words derived from others that already have the letter "j"
cherry - cherry tree
orange - orange tree
store - shop
