The property of some elements to emit radiation has always been considered a threat to humanity, the that not everyone knows is that the energy generated from nuclear reactions can help combat the effect stove. “The correct way to use it is that it generates the benefits”, this is the phrase that sums up the use of radioactivity correctly.
It is known that energy from nuclear power plants is the most dangerous source of electricity, but studies show that in obtaining it, no kind of greenhouse gas is generated, such as: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), CFC's (chlorofluorocarbons). It is clear that there are rejects in the process of obtaining Nuclear Energy, it is called Nuclear waste, this must be properly discarded, as it emits radiation for centuries. But if we compare the damage caused by other energy sources, the problem becomes a solution.
The main objective of the scientists involved in this study is to raise awareness about the threat of coal-fired thermoelectric power plants, which do generate numerous polluting agents. On the other hand, there is the aggravating factor in the price of Nuclear Energy, which is expensive and requires a series of factors to be obtained: safety precautions are needed throughout the process, trained employees and even a long time for its implementation.
Generating nuclear energy is a high investment that is justified by its action: avoiding the increase in the rate of pollutants released into our atmosphere on a daily basis. If all countries were to pay attention to this factor, we would certainly have nuclear power plants in place and sufficient to generate all the energy we need.
