Meaning of Contextualize (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Contextualizing is the action of inserting a situation, an event or a speech that has some meaning in conjunction with the environment or theme in question.

The fact of contextualizing is important for give a better meaning to a given subject, so that this is fully clarified. It shows the circumstances surrounding something.

In the field of Linguistics, contextualizing refers to the fact of developing a text that has a certain word or expression properly explained, to facilitate the general understanding of the text produced.

The act of contextualizing is a characteristic tool of the Social Sciences, as it attributes to research in the area that individuals never are isolated from their environment, that is, their objects of study must always be analyzed in relation to the set of phenomena that surround.

In this sense, context can be defined as a set of elements or phenomena that relate to each other to make sense.

These elements and phenomena can also be related to another context, for example, because in a event, everything that occurs in parallel, can influence the construction of this fact and cannot be equal.
