Check list is an English word, considered a Americanism which means "checklist".
This word is the junction of check (verify) and list (list). One check list it is a control instrument, consisting of a set of behaviors, names, items or tasks that must be remembered and/or followed.
One check list can be applied to various activities, and is often used as a tool for safety at work, in safety inspections. In aviation, for example, it consists of an essential list that must be complied with before takeoff and landing. In this specific case, the correct functioning of all equipment, engines, on-board communication systems, etc., must be verified.
Within the scope of travels, a check list is a list of important things that should not be forgotten before taking the trip. They can be things that must be kept in the suitcase, or procedures that must be done to make the trip viable (such as doing the check in and print the boarding pass).
