Social ascension can occur between any class, those with less purchasing power will have the chance to move up of class in society, but the richest can also ascend, changing from rich, to millionaires, by example.

Social ascension has become a very common phenomenon. With globalization, goods have become easier for everyone to access, the moment people start to acquire goods, they start to reach a higher status in society. Many members of classes D, have socially ascended to class C, or middle class, thus becoming a large part of Brazilian society.
