The know-why aims to make those involved think about the essence of such a project or decision, understanding the purpose of that strategy or action.
One of the fundamental points of this expression is to promote a deep reflection on innovative strategies and development of means of production that can save on labor, time, equipment and money, to produce the same goods and services.
For leaders to develop know-why, it is necessary that they internalize the company's vision, that is, that they understand what the company hopes in the future, so that they can work in the right direction, depending on market trends and the wishes of the consumers.
Know-why and know-how
Know-why is a concept developed in the same line of thinking as know-how.
However, know-how is the knowledge of how to do something, while know-why is related to the knowledge of the purpose of a business, that is, knowing the importance and value of the work developed.
Basically, when someone claims they have know-how about something, they literally want to express that they have the knowledge about that or know how to do it, not necessarily have knowledge about the purpose of that work or action.
Even having different purposes and meanings within the business environment, the balance of know-how and know-why in an organization's decision-making, will create the desired result in the actions of an company.
Know-how is important, but it must be implemented together with the know-why so that it makes sense in the direction of the project or action being developed.
